Just out of curiousity, did you mean to put this in ~hobbies? I find the idea of Viagra as hobby pretty funny, so I hope you did.

Whoops! That's what I thought I'd clicked on, must've fat-fingered it into the group below it. Thanks!

    This is just crazy.

Although the FDA has the power to recall tainted supplements, the federal agency failed to require any of the 146 companies that manufactured the adulterated products to remove them from the market.

In 360 cases, manufacturers announced a voluntarily recall of the tainted supplements, though there is no way of knowing if the products were actually recalled, says Cohen. In 342 cases, the agency posted a notice on its website warning the public about the tainted supplements.

Only in seven cases did the FDA issue a warning letter nudging the manufacturer to remove the adulterated products. Before the FDA could seize a supplement and destroy it, it would have to send a warning letter to the manufacturer, says Cohen.

    This is just crazy.

Works both ways. People with heart Issues should not take Viagra without doctor supervision. But my 75yr old Father In-law takes it because of his heart condition. We get a pretty good chuckle out...

Works both ways. People with heart Issues should not take Viagra without doctor supervision. But my 75yr old Father In-law takes it because of his heart condition. We get a pretty good chuckle out of it. I do a lot of the driving him around. (He dosn't see that great these days) But every time we go to the heart clinic and or to pick up his prescription he makes some kind of old guy joke about stopping at the senior center to take the Viagra for a spin. His wife of 40 years passed a long while ago. We never stop. He isn't serious. But he still makes the joke every damn time.

Right, Viagra is a vasodilator (a PDE5 inhibitor in particular) and should not be taken in combination with nitrate medications (or in anyone with hypotension) as it can cause low blood pressure and even heart attacks.

This is actually mentioned in the article:

For instance, drugs such as sildenafil may interact with other drugs to lower or raise blood pressure to dangerous levels.
