    It's the latest trendy thing: over 1.1 million people have opted out so far. All the cool kids are doing it!

    This just shows that Australians don't trust the government. We hated the idea of a national identity card (the Australia Card) back in the 1980s, and we hate the idea of a national health database now.

      The worst part I could see was that the KPI indicating success of the My health record scheme is 'less than 10% opt out'.. meaning that /another/ million people need to opt out before the system...

      The worst part I could see was that the KPI indicating success of the My health record scheme is 'less than 10% opt out'.. meaning that /another/ million people need to opt out before the system is considered to be a policy misstep.

      Edit: to include reference URL to 10% opt out being expected, with <10% being "tracking positively" from June 2018.
