Pfizer had clues its blockbuster drug could prevent Alzheimer’s. Why didn’t it tell the world?

    This is why I left the Pharmaceutical business years ago. Even then it was shifting from an ethical mission to one driven solely by profits. Another failure of 20th century capitalism. I hasten to say that capitalism in some of the forms it has taken, has in the past advanced technology and continues to do so. But to me it's obvious that the system -as a system- has become outmoded by the very technology it helped create.

    A recent article on Liquid Democracy outlined one way foward, but it's obvious we have a long way to go toward using technology for us rather than against each other. Here's hoping we make it.
