The rise of emergency telemedicine in the poorest, sickest, and most remote parts of the US, where the choice is increasingly to have a doctor on screen or no doctor at all

    I don't know how I feel about being treated essentially by a remote doctor, it just doesn't feel right. No matter the amount of microphones and cameras and sensors, with the current tech I doubt...

    I don't know how I feel about being treated essentially by a remote doctor, it just doesn't feel right. No matter the amount of microphones and cameras and sensors, with the current tech I doubt they are getting the 100% full picture.

    But the only solution I can think of to get doctors to rural hospitals would be to get the government to hire the doctors then send them to places. Or figure out a why to increase the the salary of rural doctors to entice them to move there, but given most of these hospitals are already running out of money...I kinda doubt that is feasible.
