    That's a powerful story. I do have a couple of questions, though. They are minor points of procedure and I'm sure there must be good reasons, but I wonder why he's running up the stairs, instead...

      Presumably because that's where the on-call room is, and when you're working 14 hour shifts, 6 days a week, in a super stressful environment like the ICU doing super critical procedures like...

      Presumably because that's where the on-call room is, and when you're working 14 hour shifts, 6 days a week, in a super stressful environment like the ICU doing super critical procedures like intubations, you take all the downtime you can get or you're liable to start making mistakes.

      He also never said the Plexiglass box doesn't work, just that he hasn't been able to use it yet for unspecified reasons.
