I really enjoyed this four part series from Jon Bois. The history of the telegraph is not something I was at all familiar with. While I was aware of undersea cables in the present day, the logistics of laying a transatlantic cable in the mid 19th century are mind boggling.
As someone who grew up in the 90s with Home Improvement regularly on TV, I appreciated the framing device.
I thought this series was just a hit piece on Samuel Morse. It turns into something so much greater. Loved it. Listened to it twice now. Jon Bois is a story teller that cannot be beat.
