    Even though the item is a legitimate spoil of war and Swedish property it might make a nice gift to Poland OR it could come across as insensitive. "Remember when we conquered and pillaged a lot in the area of modern Poland? Here's some stuff that we had laying about from that time". Would be good to check with some Polish people.

    I agree with the quotes around “legitimate”. War is rarely legitimate, and any spoils even less so. Even in defense of homeland or principle, it’s not black or white.
