British deceptions during WW2 are really fun to read about. E.g. Operation Mincemeat in which they disguised a deceased homeless man as an intelligent officer and dropped him in the sea with fake plans for an invasion of Sicily, Operation Bertram in which they disguised all their tanks as transport trucks and all their transport trucks as tanks, etc.

The YouTube channel LindyBeige has covered quite a few of these stories over the years (3 of them rather recently, in fact) and is well worth a watch if you enjoy this sort of thing. His channel covers a wide range of topics but generally focuses mostly on Military History of Rome & Carthage, Europe during the Medieval period and WW1/2 from the British perspective.

I wonder if the two Nazi spies ever found out that they where so effectively compartmentalised. Surely they would have noticed their intel not having any effect on the field? idk.
