    These are semi-monthly reports in which Richard Wolff discusses recent economic and political events from a Marxist perspective. These are usually focused on topics relating to the United States.

    This particular video diverges from that format in that there is no specific news event being discussed. He talks about McCarthyism and the decline of labor starting in the post-war period. He starts by discussing the forces that brought about the New Deal policies, why they were successful, and attempts to explain why similar ideas are taboo in today's political climate.
