I haven't seen the actual movie yet, but this review made me feel some things. On the one hand it's so sad to think of what was lost by the destruction of libraries and killing of scholars, and where our world would be if knowledge and science had been allowed to thrive.

On the other hand it shows how remarkable it is that we once again have repositories of the world's knowledge. Only this time it's not restricted to individual libraries. It's available to people around the world and across a wide range of classes. It allows us to have a multitude of Hypatias.
