I'm curious, though: why post the announcement here on Tildes? I understand you want to tell the members of your subreddit about the changes to the subreddit, and it makes sense to tell the users on Reddit about changes to Reddit via Reddit. But why cross-post it to Tildes? Your subreddit subscribers won't see it here.
In general, it makes sense to me. I'm a fan of other tightly-moderated subreddits.
I'm curious, how are you involved with this subreddit?
