Does anyone know anything about the route between Bergen and Arkhangelsk? Did people often travel between the two cities?

Kind of surprising they didn't have a stronger system of passports or identification honestly, even though merchants would have had local routes, it seems like it would certainly be possible for people to travel much further then just their continent even.

I'm not sure there would be much to stop them besides time (seasonal weather changes), money, and the language barrier.
