Oh man, this topic isn't just a can of worms -- it's an entire bulk pack! It'll probably be a day or two before I'm able to type my thoughts up in full. This is something that needs a TON of context, is far more complex than it actually seems, and occupies a space in which there are, honestly, no good answers. I'll try to do my best to highlight all of that, but it'll take me some time. Thanks for the ping!
Totally understandable. No worries, and no rush. I didn't mean to put any pressure on you, I was just curious about what you thought. p.s. Inspiration for another Timasomo blog post, maybe? ;)

Nothing special. I keep a running list of ideas in my notes app (Standard Notes), and then I create a new note when I want to write something longer. It syncs back and forth between phone and computer, so logging ideas or adding short bits can easily happen by phone, which I often do as a way of trying to capture that ephemeral lightning-type feeling when inspiration strikes. The longer stuff gets written via the computer though.
I'm trying to force myself to do more blog-centric writing via Timasomo (thanks for linking that, @hungariantoast!), but currently 99% of what I write ends up as comments here on Tildes. My process generally involves seeing something, fighting an irrepressible need to have my say on it, deciding to extensively type up my say anyway, and then dropping it in a comment here and hoping the person I'm responding to doesn't feel like I'm aggressively slapping a novella in their face.
cc: @kfwyre, since I would love to know your thoughts on this.

No pressure at all! And I'm way ahead of you on the blog post. I, uh, might have already started typing it... :)
Just curious, what's your writing process like (apps, method, etc)?
