I've often found that it is disingenuous to claim that refusing to use pronouns degrades the quality of exactness our language. It's strange because I have a really strong natural tendency towards the exactness and the exactness of language in general but I value adaptability to a similar degree. Language is the most useful when it's exact and effective.

I emphasize with people who are drawn to Ben Shapiro's view of pronoun use but I do think it's misguided. If one of goals is effectiveness you should be grateful for the opportunity to attempt making a very small change in your behavior if the result is helping another human feel a sense of social validation.

That boils down to a general sense of good will. You can generally get most everyone to validate that sentiment if you're engaging people in a fair, honest, and respectful way.
