i am holding out exactly zero hope for any sort of good precedent being set here, because this seems to be morphing into the asshole court, where the deciding vote is now up to a dude who historically has voted quite conservatively and whose only reason to suddenly break that trend is to become a "moderating" voice on the court since there isn't really one now. not exactly a compelling recipe for a favorable ruling on a lot of these issues.
