What. Butch lesbians have a semen eating anal worm? Gay men are a third gender? What? No. Just no.
I lost it at this:
I guess on the spectrum of shitty things gay kids are going to be subjected to by priggish parents, this might be preferable to Mike Pence style electrocuting people's brains. But still. . . come on!
I know, right? She's so absolutely, totally, utterly far from anything even close to reality that she thinks we'll be more likely to take our medicine if it's the right colour! I love how she thinks. :)
Part of me is confused, and part of me is curious:
Why did you share it? (I know you're a gay man – you've said so on Tildes a few times – which makes it even more peculiar.)
I think it's fun.
This woman's theory is not just wrong, it's outrageously, flamboyantly, ridiculously wrong. It's literally laughable (it certainly made me chuckle!). How could you not love the idea that a sperm-eating worm is making people gay? You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried! And she assures us, with a straight face, that this is science, so there's nothing to be ashamed of.
And then, to make the story even more adorable... she made the suppositories different colours for men and women! As if it's not ridiculous enough that she thinks we can cure homosexuality by shoving pills up our arses... she made the arse-pills blue for boys and pink for girls!
This is the most fun story I've read in months - and I wanted to share the joy.
I swear every single time I see a headline like this I can already tell it's some kind of religious kook with no concept of science trying to repackage God as a cure.
What kind of "academic" is she? The video clip labels her as "Kuwaiti New-Age Therapist and Human Development Advisor Dr. Mariam Al-Sohel" and she describes the cure to be based on "prophetic medicine".
In searching for her credentials, it turns out she claims to have an "honorary doctorate in 'Sex Management' from the International Union of Universities in Turkey" (Source).
