Several media outlets failed to name HHS appointee Dr. Rachel Levine, instead referring to her simply as "transgender woman" in headlines. This is not acceptable. Trans officials deserve the same respect as anyone else, and outlets should update headlines to include Levine's name
Hint: Dr. Levine is not the first trans person to be nominated for a position by a president and it stretches the use of “first” to add the “Senate-confirmed position” caveat. Sometimes trans people can just do and be newsworthy things without being the first.

But comparing that to similar UK threads the difference is stark. There's just QAnon Proud Boys levels of disinfo and hate from UK Gender Criticals and when they see a twitter thread they don't like they destroy it.
