Having what is essentially a "trans checkbox" on your gov't documentation is a great way to get targeted by conservative or reactionary regimes down the road, and anyway a binary understanding of sex misses the biological reality for millions of people - both those who are born intersex and those who've undergone HRT and other gender affirming procedures.
