    This was a really interesting read. Thanks for posting it. It really felt like a real life Sons of Anarchy story, complete with scumbag national agents who kind of screw everybody else over.

    I'm not sure I end up entirely believing the main person interviewed, but it's an important hole in the system if he feels that unprotected and cared for. But also, it's pretty clear that he was debt-motivated and saw integrating himself as a way to pay those debts down. Still a tough place to be and I don't envy him.

      We are definitely missing the official side, and the following suggests there's definitely more to the story:

      Lavigne said has no sympathy for witnesses who break the rules; but he said the RCMP — and all Canadians — should be grateful for their efforts.

      Still, I can't help but wonder what rule he broke that they're basically going to leave him with a death sentence.

      I also understand that it'll be hard for a program like this to have any real transparency, so it's difficult to scrutinize and hold them accountable.
