How much would you pay to get an extra hour in your day? (aka "Time pressure is stressing us out")

The price for such a magical thing would probably be higher than what I make hourly. So I'd have to use that hour to work more, to offset that expense

I did something like this by relocating in Toronto so that my commute went from an hour (on TTC) each way to 30 minutes (walking) each way. This cost about $1000/month.

Same kinda thing happened to me. I moved from a major metro area to a mid-sized city of 200k, and my commute went from an hour to 5 mins. I can also go home for lunch too, which is nice.

Spreading some of that spare time in before the daily grind has done something with the feeling of tempo and pace of it all

It depends on how much freedom I get to choose when the extra hour occurs and what freedoms I have with it. If I had the freedom to decide when it was and what I would do during that hour, I would value it more, and for that I'd be willing to pay 1-2 hours of my salary. On the other hand, if it was spread over my day, or I had to use it to study or get work done, I would be paying significantly less.
