Your Black Friends Are Busy - A growing resource for learning about anti-racism, and supporting the people & organizations doing important work for the Black Lives Matter movement
If, like me, you'd like to learn more about how to be an ally to your black friends, but feel awkward bringing it up, this is a cool little web app that has a bunch of literature and links you can read to find out more about the black experience and how to help.
For anyone else who is confused: there is no app to download. This is just a web page with a strange UI that looks like a phone.
I wish it were a simple web page instead, but I guess I'm not in the target audience for this sort of thing.
Man, somebody spent a great deal of time making this whole website work just so, but towards a result that I find nearly unusable (even after I enable all the extra third-party JS that's apparently necessary).
It's a shame, since it looks like a pretty nice collection of resources, I just wish it was presented in a more accessible fashion. Like you, I suppose I must not be the target audience.
This is a “progressive web app”, it’s meant to be accessed on an iPhone and added to your home screen. Then it basically becomes an app and behaves like one, but it just gets rid of the safari chrome. It’s a cool concept but I have yet to come across an app that I’ve wanted do this with.
I'm using Tildes as a Firefox PWA on my phone literally right now.
That's pretty cool! But saving to the homescreen isn't the only thing that makes a PWA! In my opinion, the main thing that a PWA offers is that it downloads something to your device that allows at least partial functionality while offline:

You're right, I'd forgotten about the offline part of that spec.
Looks like your link is missing.
OK, updated. Sorry about that!
