Inside the mesmerising bicycle parking garage in Utrecht

@lennartnout:
Inside the mesmerising bicycle parking garage in #Utrecht. 2 bicycles per second (!) exit the garage at peak hour. Imagine what this would look like if these were cars. https://t.co/useutsgCEQ

The idea of a bike garage is something I never even considered before. In the US - even here in NYC - it's cars, cars, cars.

      I find most exciting images of people running errands with cargo bikes, picking up their kids from school. Lots of inspiring infrastructure is posted here https://twitter.com/placesforbikes/.

        Meanwhile, here's a thread that shows what discussions about bicycle policy look like in New York: https://twitter.com/DaveCoIon/status/1004847635365269504 Sigh.

          Human-scale, environmentally-friendly transit that encourages good health and stimulates the economy through easier on-street engagement and more available real estate? It's more a Shelbyville idea.
