Is that an OK sign? A white power symbol? Or just a right-wing troll?

So what does it mean when someone flashes the OK sign? In the end, it can mean almost anything, but primarily it’s one of three things:
It can be a harmless use of its traditional meaning that all’s well.
It can be an ironic attempt to troll liberals with a symbol chosen to “trigger” their inner “SJWs.”
It can be a surreptitious way of signaling your presence to other white supremacists.

It can be either the first two, or the third, because if you want to "signal" something this must be clear, or else the white supremacists themselves are not going to know what is a troll and what is a signal. But, more important, it misses the point of why people are trolling and what trolling is. It's the same reason people post swastikas, interracial porn, gore, etc - it's not meant to tell anything about the poster, it is only meant to provoke a reaction, that, judging how SPLC continuously takes the bait, is really easy to provoke from certain circles. If there is any subgroup of people that would get their buttons pushed then trolls are going to push these buttons as long as they'll get a reaction. And when people start overreacting the Streisand effect kicks in. Russian teenagers often put Ukrainian flag everywhere to provoke a reaction from pro-Putin people, because a mere presence of that flag can set off one on a tamper tantrum, followed by seizure and then a heart attack. It has nothing to do with ideology, and it has everything to do with bread and circuses.
