I remember going to a goldmine for a school trip, not sure which one, Diepkloof maybe, and the guy showing us around saying that one day, all the gold in the mine dumps and closed off shafts that is to expensive to get will be extracted. He said stuff about how whole new industries and processes would be invented.

It makes me a bit despondent to think that instead of new ways to get the minerals, people have to risk their lives in 18th century conditions to earn a pittance.

Time Team is up there as well, for me. I regularly go back and rewatch all the old episodes. I really hope they bring it back one day. :(

I've heard tell that using a VPN with the android all4 app and Chromecast to watch on a large screen is workable. Can't vouch for it though, because I've not had to try.

A lot of Channel 4 stuff is on YouTube. They seem to like spreading stuff out over multiple channels though, which can make it annoying to find.
