    Long was involved in a minor car crash, vandalized a gas station bathroom, and shared some information with Iowa State Patrol.

    one of the dumb, awful new realities of our future is the fact that having your social media closed down can be a radicalizing event for some people, as seen here (and with things like the shooting at youtube's campus awhile back and laura loomer's "protest" of twitter where she locked herself to their doors). i'm sure as youtube and other websites actually figure out how to police their platforms in a way that actually makes a difference, we're going to see more plots like this take place.

      I don't like YouTube so much as the idea of YouTube: a free, easily-accessible platform to host and watch videos. YouTube did a lot right, and it did a lot well. Anything that comes to replace YouTube has a long way to go, but they'd cement themselves as the better thing if they do.
