    What a fascinating read. It really is such a shame the damage that our globalized, connected society has done to the planet. Everything is photographed & instagrammed—it almost feels like every time that happens, a small part of what makes a place so beautiful is irrevocably taken from it.

      Yeah, I really enjoyed reading it. It's quite bizarre to think that places like that still exist, where you have to worry about things like "you can fly there, but you'll have to stay at least a month because nothing else leaves until then."

      While I was reading it, I kept having these minor revelations like "there are literally no hotels and probably not even any spare beds there, there would be no reason for them to exist". It's almost a different world.
