I'm only 6 minutes in and... wow. This story was all over the news for a long time, I read many articles on it, every week there was some new bit of information. But I never realized just how mysterious the whole case is. This is a fascinating story but also it's kinda baffling/humbling how much detail you simply do not know about big events, even if you think you've read a lot of news articles.

There's one key piece of evidence this video seems to have completely omitted: The flaperon recovered has damage that suggests that the plane was under manual control when crashing.

Beyond, some red herrings that the author spends a lot of time with. Most types of technical failure seem severely implausible given what we know, as does the "misheard frequency" one. Even I (a casual observer of aviation and a filthy casual simviator) can recall the Emergency transponder code. If I were to notice I don't have the right frequency for the next tower, that'd be my go-to. Now, that is consistent with his transponder stopping normal transmissions. But there's no mention of an emergency code anywhere wrt. 370. But even if they both forgot that code, that's inconsistent with them completely failing to aviate and navigate to keep the aircraft safe afterwards, making wild turns to return and then going out into the wide blue yonder...

Oh, and I also wonder how well the evidence we have - mostly the drifting pieces - constrain our simulations of the splashdown zone to be correct. Or: Could we be way off about the crash site given the items we found were "consistent" with it? Ocean is a chaotic place after all.

This was an excellent video; sadly this case leaves me ever-hungry for more information. For those that are interested in MH370, I highly recommend reading mh370.radiantphysics.com, run by the MH370 Independent Group, which includes many pilots & scientists who base their work in factual knowledge.
