Bradbury's covers were the best, hands down. For that period anyways. And it was a style that complemented his writing spectacularly. Fantasy artists of the period generally followed the Boris "Voluptuous or Ripped" Vallejo school.

Current speculative fiction covers have been heavily influenced by gaming and trading card faux realistic exaggeration these days. I'm hoping that it takes another swing through deconstruction soon.

The @aston Instgram account has some great, cropped examples of fantasy and sci-fi book covers: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg3X4VrBCGk/?hl=en&taken-by=astron It's a good follow for weird images.
