    I would think Iceland has a far higher % of people being tourists that aren't counted as living there. Not that they get super high number of people, but it doesn't take much to cause an imbalance...

    The economies of scale for such a low population are going to suck too.

      Since I was curious: Compared to Iceland's population in 2019 which is only ≈362,860. So you're probably correct that it skews the numbers, and I wonder if any other countries have such a high...

      Since I was curious:

      Tourist Arrivals in Iceland decreased to 183654 in September from 251887 in August of 2019. Tourist Arrivals in Iceland averaged 73776.37 from 2002 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 291344 in August of 2018 and a record low of 10592 in December of 2002. -source

      Compared to Iceland's population in 2019 which is only ≈362,860. So you're probably correct that it skews the numbers, and I wonder if any other countries have such a high number of tourists compared to their population.
