    This is misleading. They will still fly from “Stockholm” Skavsta, the planes will just be based elsewhere and there will be some reduction in the number of destinations and flights. So yes, they will close their base but not stop operating there.

      Closing its base means that the airline will continue to fly to and from Stockholm Skavsta Airport, but will not keep planes or staff at the site.

      If the title had been "Ryanair will stop flying to Nuremberg and Stockholm..." then I agree with you it is misleading. But the airline is closing their base of operations in both airports. They will no longer be operating from these destinations.

        I would agree that if it said operating from (rather than "in") Nuremberg and Stockholm it would be factually correct, but I think it (and the whole article) would remain misleading as in that if...

        I would agree that if it said operating from (rather than "in") Nuremberg and Stockholm it would be factually correct, but I think it (and the whole article) would remain misleading as in that if you read it without any prior knowledge you'd probably be more likely to get the impression that they're going to stop using those airports than anything else, getting very cönfused.

          I agree that a 'from' replacing an 'in' on their part would have aided understanding a little better.
