What is the Senate filibuster and what would it take to remove it?

    A moderately long article on the filibuster. It also shows why removing the filibuster would actually be quite hard. (Hence Trump failing at it.)

      Filibuster is definitely one of those double-edged swords. It can be used for good or bad. I think the right answer is to keep it, but ensure that it's difficult to maintain for more than a week...

        I honestly agree. The filibuster is like pushing a 'Senate volatility' lever up. If we take it away more will be done and the Senate will be more active but it's not guaranteed we'll be having...

        I honestly agree. The filibuster is like pushing a 'Senate volatility' lever up. If we take it away more will be done and the Senate will be more active but it's not guaranteed we'll be having good things being done so if they're bad they can be held back and filibustered.
