This is the real question. Most Americans don’t give a shit about foreign policy… unless a terrorist attack happens. While the Taliban might be more cognizant of foreign relations, they are still an Islamist group, and at least some factions within seem to be supportive of al-Qaida/the Haqqani network. We shall see if anything happens in the next few years.
