This'll seem minor to any Americans reading, but it's always a relief to see Brendan Gleeson in a film because it generally means you're going to hear genuine Irish accents for once and not a bunch of Hollywood Oirish.

I mean, Hollywood made Jamie Dornan do a fake Oirish voice and he had to hide his actual Irish accent to do it. Really takes you out of it.

Ditto! I only somewhat recently saw In Bruges and was absolutely smitten with it. If this is even half as good it'll be a winner!

If you guys like In Bruges, and I assume Martin McDonagh's other films (?), I can definitely recommend reading (or seeing) his plays as well. The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Beauty Queen of Leenane and The Pillowman are probably my favourites, but I would say that all of them are worth checking out.

Although I must also say that his latest, A Very Very Very Dark Matter, left me scratching my head. Not quite sure what to think of that one.

Yeah, I have also seen Seven Psychopaths and Three Billboards. They were both very good, but didn't quite have the same magic as In Bruges, which is one of my all-time favorite movies. I had no idea McDonagh was a playwright too though, so I will have to check those plays out. Thanks for the recommendations!
