McKay often has a lot of projects that are announced publicly but then fall through, like the Parasite re-make for HBO. I was never particularly confident that this one was going to make it through, but the success of the TV show basically guaranteed it wouldn’t happen. It’s a common thing that happens with real life stories. Like when Christopher Nolan and Jim Carrery were going to make a Howard Hughes biopic but plans got scrapped when Scorsese went into production with The Aviator.

She's right about Seyfried, and The Dropout is great as well. I only have one bad thing to say about the show: it was made too soon. The story wasn't done, it is not done to this day. I would love...

She's right about Seyfried, and The Dropout is great as well. I only have one bad thing to say about the show: it was made too soon. The story wasn't done, it is not done to this day. I would love for The Dropout to benefit from the sentencing, as well as from the outcome of the other lawsuits. Hopefully, they'll make another season or a special once it's all settled.
