From a punitive perspective: good.
From a rehabilitative perspective: good. At this point in his life, and given his repeat offenses, I don’t think he can be rehabilitated.
Side note: I’ve always heard sexual offenses have a relatively low recidivism rate. Is that just because other crimes (e.g., robbery) may be crimes of circumstance/poverty, because rape isn’t reported/convicted as much, a combination, or is rehabilitating for rape genuinely easier? I’ll be honest, rape as a crime is so dangerous (I.M.O., worse than murder in many cases) that offenders should not be allowed back out.
I disagree. I think that I would definitely prefer being raped over being murdered (if I had to choose).
And while sex crimes reflect a severe lack of empathy, murder reflects a much severer lack or complete absence thereof.
Recidivism for sex crimes is relatively low.
