The original is hardly a classic so if this one is bad too, nobody will really feel offended. But since the bar for success is low, there's a decent chance they make something that surpasses the original and actually justifies its existence.

It was a success if you check the numbers, albeit most of it seems to have come from at-home video sales like VHS… And that’s even though the movie kinda sucks, haha.
