Was so happy to hear this. It's been "in the works" for a long time with Doug Liman teasing it here and there, and even having a script at some point I believe. Edge of Tomorrow is a top 5 action movie for me (the others being Drive, The Bourne Identity, Blade Runner 2049, John Wick), so I'm really glad that it's finally officially happening! I don't think it's going to be as good as the first one, but I'm confident it'll be worth the watch regardless of the cast or production crew as long as Doug Liman is helming it.
That's pretty similar to my top favorites as well. Gotta love those slow burns. Have you watched any of the other Nicolas Winding Refn movies? They are quite good as well and I particularly...

I have, as well as Bronson. They're fine movies, but that's about it I think - I don't know how he did it but Drive is simply way better than anything else he's done

I'm not sure where they'll go with the movie now, unless it's actually a prequel!! Dun dun dun! But in all honesty it might be bleh, as unexpected sequels can tend to be.
I thought it was great as well. Problem is, sequels for this kind of idea seem to be difficult as the novelty wears off pretty quick (imagine a Groundhog Day sequel, for instance). I'm rooting for...

Which can be great, but in that case, why make a sequence at all? Just film The Forever War already :(

I just rewatched Edge of Tomorrow today. Such a good movie.

I hate to bring this up, but a Groundhog Day sequel in the form of a VR experience has recently been announced.
This is a terrible idea and I definitely wanna watch it.
If the sequel takes place at the same time as the first movie but in a different place or from a different perspective it could be good.
