Edge of Tomorrow is a top 5 action movie for me (the others being Drive, The Bourne Identity, Blade Runner 2049, John Wick), so I'm really glad that it's finally officially happening! I don't think it's going to be as good as the first one, but I'm confident it'll be worth the watch regardless of the cast or production crew as long as Doug Liman is helming it.

I have, as well as Bronson. They're fine movies, but that's about it I think - I don't know how he did it but Drive is simply way better than anything else he's done

I'm not sure where they'll go with the movie now, unless it's actually a prequel!! Dun dun dun! But in all honesty it might be bleh, as unexpected sequels can tend to be.

I hate to bring this up, but a Groundhog Day sequel in the form of a VR experience has recently been announced.

If the sequel takes place at the same time as the first movie but in a different place or from a different perspective it could be good.

The major reason for the uniqueness of the first movie was the time loop with a well handled romantic subplot. This cannot be repeated and, without it, the sequel would be a regular military sci-fi. Which can be great, but in that case, why make a sequence at all? Just film The Forever War already :(
