I'm not one for horror, but Get Out was more suspense than anything else, so I could handle it. Is that the case for Us, or should I steer clear of this one?

Yeap, that is exactly it. Suspense really, not that much horror. The suspense itself is only for the first 30 mins, after that it feels like a different movie (I cant say anything without spoiling...

Edit: I changed not as good as Us to not as good as Get Out. My bad.

If there is a message in Us, I definitely missed it. I enjoyed the film overall, some great funny moments, it's very well shot, and I really enjoyed the music.

Let me rephrase: I've seen Get Out, I have not seen Us. I'm curious if Us is more horror/scary than Get Out.

Great news for original films! Get Out showcased Peele as a promising writer/director and I hope this film is as solid as that film.
I hope it's better than Get Out.
Any reason you didn't enjoy Get Out? It was definitely hyped but I feel like it deserved (most of) the hype it received.
