    Sounds like the real battle here has nothing to do with Spielberg and everything to do with major theater companies like AMC and Regal. Its an interesting inside view that I hadn't considered....

    Its an interesting inside view that I hadn't considered. Oscars require movies to be shown in theaters, theaters won't play movies unless they can snag (fairly long) exclusivity deals.

    Really wonder where the future is going with all this. Are we going to see the movie industry become increasingly exclusionary, or will one side eventually cave?
