    The article gives me the impression that they're more amused than revolted. Which makes total sense: this is fiction. Besides, Sweden is a relatively wealthy European country. Inaccurate...

    The article gives me the impression that they're more amused than revolted. Which makes total sense: this is fiction.

    Besides, Sweden is a relatively wealthy European country. Inaccurate depictions pose a threat to unfavored groups that might suffer negative consequences from it, and the very notion of "cultural appropriation" only makes sense when applied to them. Because, when you're hegemonic, whatever is "appropriated" from your culture does not equate to subtraction.
