Disney doesn't really do criticism in their main line films in order to not put of any potential audience member, and I'd imagine that includes self criticism, because a lot of people are fans of Disney stuff. They will acknowledge that they have been around a while and sensibilities have changed, but their M.O. is still making 4 quadrant modern day fairy tales with popular sensibilities. When they do try to tackle a social issue, it's either "the exemplar girl who needs to be in STEM or some other important discipline" which as the video states is easy to market to, or something like Zootopia where "everybody does a racism sometimes and we should all try to do less" is a blandest possible indictment of systemic racism, and still is pulled apart by people who either want sharper and more cutting insights, more correct metaphors to real world racism then predator/prey because yikes, or for it to be more clear that "nah, the movie was talking about classism the whole time, rite guise!?" So even if you are Disney and you can please anyone, you can't be woke because that wouldn't please everyone.
