Looks fantastic—there's something so quintessentially timeless about the James Bond series that makes every new movie extremely appealing. Can't wait!

Yea, glad I'm not seeing cynicism in the first comment. I mean, it's just cool, right? Not earth shattering, not original... just cool. We can have fun with that!

There's so much cynicism on the internet, it's so tiring. Positivity is something that could go a long way to improve all of our lives and there isn't enough of it, damn it. A lot of it is so unfounded too—I remember when Daniel Craig was cast as James Bond and the flood of negativity was absurd, "blonde bond", "he doesn't look like Bond!", etc

The top comment on this trailer is "We're going to miss him when he retires.". How times change.

I don't mind negativity on the internet if it's even vaguely constructive. Honestly, with the Daniel Craig Bonds, the main complaint I've seen is basically that the Bond franchise shouldn't really exist anymore. Other than that, it's hard to argue against Skyfall being maybe the best Bond ever made, for example. It's a bit hit and miss but overall, it's a great time for the franchise!

Plus there is a lot of fertile ground to be explored in Bond's monstrous extracurriculars if the studio ever allows for it. There is a reason for th Bond franchise to exist.

I would love to see a bisexual or gay Bond, actually. It doesn't even have to be for the intent of a diversity push, I'd enjoy it just for the bad takes and reactions from people who are unqualified to speak on the matter.

How would you feel about a bisexual/gay bond that is still a shitty human like straight Bond. I'm talking the whole rapey, womanizing (peopleizing?) package but redirected at men.

It'd be an interesting way to "subvert expectations" and also to introduce some discussion around chauvinism and aggressive masculinity in general.

I agree with your perspective, I think it would be a very interesting direction. But I can also see the other side of the equation where showing a gay character in a very negative light like that is derided. It could be seen ws going back to an era where homosexuals were presented as degenerate or perverted.

Probably the explosions and car chases and subterfuge and intrigue and stuff. Mostly the explosions and car chases, though.

But classy explosions and car chases. Not like that lowbrow Fast & Furious stuff. I kid. I love all car chases equally.

Very few franchises have figured this out.
