Like of course they are going to say Palpatine was actually a clone, Rey's Dad was a failed clone, Finn is force sensitive, and the Reylo kiss at the end of the movie wasn't romantic. Not to mention the other tid bit posted online earlier this year that achtually the people that live on the entire planet of Exigol are part of a Sith cult and they built and manned all those star destroyers.

It is just maddeningly dumb that all these details are coming out and could not have been actually explained in the movie in a coherent way.

I am viewing this final entry of the star wars sequel trilogy almost as bad as the final season of Game of Thrones. It is just so poorly written and clearly not thought out that it makes me not want to go back and watch the original trilogy or even episodes 7 and 8 which I enjoyed at the time. Knowing that it all builds to something so... bad.

Minor nitpick: ROTS is Revenge of the Sith, ROS is Rise of Skywalker.

Thanks, for some reason I thought it was Rise of the Skywalker

I really hope they drop the entire movie thing and focus on series. I don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't give two shits about the Skywalkers. I liked the OT and PT stories -- but that's all we needed.

I haven't watched ROTS... and I'll probably get around to it eventually. Even the fanedits of the other ST films couldn't fix them. I don't even have any complaints about new Force magic, since a lot of that is within the Legends series --- and I'm a generous guy.

Overall, The Mandalorian was great and I think this format is better suited for Star Wars. I'm so sick of the traditional movie formula for these sorts of films. They had an opportunity with Solo to make something interesting, but totally shit the bed. They really need to make these movies for the fans and then allow the general public to catch up via a scroll.

I just don't see why they'd completely dismiss the Legends series as source material. Ben Skywalker / Jacen Solo would have been such a great series. Hell, swap out Ben for a girl -- that series was great and had plenty crazy Force-magic.
