It feels so warm to me, like he's turned down the quirkiness a bit - maybe spent a bit less time twiddling the sound design - and turned the warmth up to 11.

    Maybe my current favourite:
    Ott - Brookside Hybrid 23

There aren't many artists who make me genuinely happy releasing material but Ott is one of them.

This album popped up on my release radar from spotify. It's a banger and the associated radio is awesome. I did a deep dive on Haruomi Hosono, Pacific and Paraiso are also fantastic.

Lots of stuff this week, but I'll share a couple of folk albums I'm feeling today.

Sierra Ferrel - Long Time Coming. Sierra Ferrel was just nominated for the Americana Awards Emerging Act. She's got an incredible, timeless voice and stage presence. There are several great videos of her live performances on Youtube.

Charlie Parr - Last of the Better Days Ahead. This album features an amazing eight minute song called Everyday Opus that is a masterpiece in storytelling and folk music. It's distributed by Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. Read more about it here
