Also, tons of serious music that we heard at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth last week. They held the last one 5 years ago. It was worth the wait. Tonight and tomorrow night after the final performances, judges will decide the first through third place winners among the top 6 that were selected in the Semifinal round. The concerts are being streamed. Visit cliburn.org to stream and see details.

    Pixvae.

Been listening to them so heavily for the last week or so.

I discovered them about a year ago after hearing about their first album on James Acaster's 16 perfect albums of 2016
I searched and enjoyed listening to all his picks, but none of them really resonated with me, except one. Pixvae by Pixvae.

Sometimes you'll hear a band, album or maybe a single track that is so captivating it sets your brain on fire. They did exactly that. Sometime it takes a while for that feeling to develop but with Pixvae, it was immediate. I haven't had that feeling for quite a long time. Absolute bliss of discovery. Rare and precious.

They only have 2 albums which I'll link if you want to listen to the full albums.
I'll also choose a couple of track from each album but there isn't a single weak track for me.
