It's got some great energy and it actually is long enough for me to truly feel like I'm enjoying it without overstaying its welcome imo. If anyone knows other songs that are similar to this, let me hear them! I have a playlist that I'll be curating til I die that has songs that should fit in a basement party, this is definitely one of them.

This is Kyle Kallgren's interpretation of Land of Confusion by Genesis. Kyle is a video essayist by trade and this song was featured at the end of his piece on the film Network and how it predicted the 24 hour news network, anger as a commodity and how it fuels itself through the attention economy.

The cover itself isn't the best performed version of this song ever, but the production aspect is very interesting. Kyle using a voice modulator for his vocals and the camera's distortion and double exposures during the harmonies kind of reinterpret the song as a much more manic and anxious cry for help, as compared to the original's plea for reason in the context of the Cold War, and Disturbed's to arms cover during the War on Terror. Really interesting take.

Or I'm just a sucker for voice mod.
