It's just that the business model through which they are compensated on YouTube is - in my opinion - ethically unsound. Supporting those creators through something like Patreon would be my preferred option.
I’m with you there... I support about 20 or so content creators/services on Patreon (including tildes)... however IMO we also shouldn’t actively undermine one of their sources of income (YouTube)...
