What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)
Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

Common Saints - Rebel Paradise
Very Floydy
Riverside - Deprived
Kinda reminds me of porcupine tree
Thank you so much for this! Floyd and Porcupine Tree are my dad's two favorite bands. I just showed him that first link and he absolutely loved it - we'll listen to the second on the ride home.
I was wondering if you had any other recommendations along these lines. He only found Porcupine Tree a handful of years ago, and gave me this whole speech about how there must be so much other music out there right up his alley, but he just hasn't discovered it yet. You've given me the opportunity to make that happen for him. Thanks again!
Luck in blue
This guy looks sounds and plays like Richard Wright. I swear he's a reincarnated version of him
Kind of a different response, but I've been listening to live Irish music around the Belfast and Dublin areas. I've been getting to know a bit of the history between the starting era of modern Irish music (around the 1870's, depending on the group of artists you follow) and the accompanying dance culture around it (traditional Irish tap, clogging, riverdance and the morph into Broadway tap dance, among other things).
I've also learned of a few songs I hadn't really paid any mind to before, Irish or not in origin:
Brennan on the Moor
Whiskey in the Jar
Rattlin' Bog
Will Ye Go Lassie Go
I'll be taking some time to learn the lyrics pat so that if I ever have the pleasure of visiting Ireland again, I can sing along with the room on a few more songs!
