STUMPS is hilariously great for some reason; it's like...punk, mixed with...I have literally no idea. Super fun, both lyrically and musically; super new though so they only have a single EP out:
What's your opinion on Against Me!? And I know most people into punk have, but have you listened to Joan Jett? And while these two are a bit on the lighter/poppunkier side, ever listened to Stand...

And while these two are a bit on the lighter/poppunkier side, ever listened to Stand Atlantic or worlds greatest dad?
(Sidenote, I hate typing out the name of that last one. Aesthetically it's okay but super annoying when not on an album cover. Like Tigers Jaw in terms of annoying.)

Its basically the only band i listened to for 2 or 3 years straight.
As the eternal cowboy, crime as forgiven by against me, disco before the breakdown, aucouatic ep..... such bangers. All of my friends from high school know every single word. So fun to get together from time to time and just belt out the words.
Great band great memories. Not a fan of any of the new stuff unfortunately. They lost me after searching for a former clarity.
That's interesting; I've never met someone who liked Cowboy but not White Crosses. Just a fan of the more acoustic-ish stuff? Did you like Reinventing Axl Rose?

I seriously recommend checking it out. Out of my friends who mainly like pre-New Wave stuff, Shape Shift With Me was really popular. Transgender Dyphoria Blues was REALLY strong at points, and overall felt a lot closer to Cowboy than New Wave; and White Crosses / Black Crosses is probably the most emotional/energetic they've done since Axl.
I'm also generally a huge fan of punk bands with female vocalists. Two of my favorites (just a song I like from each): White Lung - Below Tsunami Bomb - 20 Going On...

The Chats - Smoko Cool aussie punk rock kids
Hangover Overdose - Tuhotaan planeetta Finnish crust'n'roll
Hero Dishonest - Fist song More stuff from Finland, this time intense hardcore with relentless singing and weird timings
Leftöver Crack - Gang Control Stza from Choking Victim, crusty ska punk, awesome bass lines
The Aussie punk scene is so great right now! Like half of my favorite bands are from Sydney at the moment.
Well don't just say that, gimme links!
I already linked Trophy Eyes, but they're amazing; albeit recently they've gotten off the punk train a bit. My two favorite albums of theirs:
https://open.spotify.com/album/70p9Dlnblglne6R2affwr3 <- skate-punk-ish; loud
https://open.spotify.com/album/2zQb2Lnd4nifvFKZynn7Lk <- alt-punk; loud still but less, more coherent than the above; has the best closing tracks of almost any album released in the past five years
STUMPS is hilariously great for some reason; it's like...punk, mixed with...I have literally no idea. Super fun, both lyrically and musically; super new though so they only have a single EP out:
https://open.spotify.com/album/7bsr85bNgmdHBpvMSqd9Bg
Eat Your Heart Out has a few EPs out, and is also really great.
https://open.spotify.com/album/3JxlzSM2oCtJtMYfEIB2Or
There're a tonne more but that's what comes to my mind immediately.

Hell yeah i did. The emotion and energy just isnt really there after sfafc
Nice! And did you listen to anything of theirs after they got off of Warner Bros? They got way back to the old-ish style they had pre-New Wave.
Just bits and pieces

I've heard tracks from each album and i dont like it. It's like manufactured to sound that way. Hard to explain.

Propagandhi's great! I especially love their earlier stuff musically, but their newer stuff isn't half bad either. Message-wise they're awesome, too.
My punk taste is pretty limited. Reagan Youth, Misfits, Adicts, DK, a few others. Dunno why, I could just never get into much beyond the big acts.
I've been listening to this too much recently:

Is classic punk a genre? Like MAN I haven't heard any punk like that in years! Nice finds!
