Have you ever really wanted to listen to Canadian Dragonforce with an amazing female vocalist? If the answer is "yes", then give this a listen. If the answer is "fuck yes", then you can keep right...

I'm a sucker for any song that exposes some aspect of greatness, and this has a lot of great things, but my favourite things are the riffs are catchy and complex and have a great hook and the vocals are outstanding.

        The new album is great.

Edit: Some live footage in this video demonstrating their strong metal hair game.

Having purchased the Apex album on release day, I can testify that Dragonforce isn't fit to lick Brittney Hayes' boots and they damn well know it. :)

Brittney fucking Slayes. Seriously, though, I agree. This band is fantastic. Apex is gorgeous.

Also, more contraltos (alto not being quite the right term) in metal is a good thing.

100% agree. Her voice is so perfect for this music. She actually reminds me of Claudio Sanchez from Coheed & Cambria, except I like her better. Hmm. I might enjoy this band more than c&c actually.

And now I want to hear Brittney Slayes singing "Sentry the Defiant", "The Hound (of Blood and Rank)", and "A Favor House Atlantic".

I should post some stuff from Eternal Champion later. You might like it even though they're still kinda rough. Also, are you into Manilla Road?

After Galneryus and Anthem, I was listening to some more Japanese metal last night at his recommendation and there's some pretty great stuff in there.

I wonder if we should encourage themed days in ~music.
